Just did the O-ring replacement.....EZ!

To celebrate a little good weather in the high desert, I performed the o-ring replacement this afternoon.

This was simple using Aredubjay's instructions from his locker (thanks)!

Everyone should do this simple task. I'll bet many suspected "oil" leaks will be fixed. The front of my engine under the pump and the protective pan below were caked with an oil/dirt mixture - all of it coming from the flat o-ring.

For those still indecisive about this operation, the o-ring is about the size of a dime and you will need a 12" or so socket extension.

Thanks again for the info, I guess that's what this site is all about.

This is a little OT but... I'm sitting here, just having put together a pot of red, deciding whether or not to fire up some burritos too. Then I see your location and really start having a heart-ache for some good sw vittles. I haven't been out west in about five years and I'm missing the mountains really bad. I'm really missing the food more, but....

Red vs. Green

Gotta tip my hat to you red lovers - too much for me. I take mine green.

Lower pay and high taxes is what you get out here. But managed to log 230 miles hiking in the Pecos Wilderness this year! I don't know what I would do if I had to move back to Tejas.

Maybe we should have a meet in Roswell (then it'll really look like the aliens have landed)!

I like the green too, it's just difficult to find good chilis here. I used to live in Colorado but I don't think I could afford it anymore. I'd love to live between Durango and Pagosa Springs, but unless I can find some Navajo in my blood I'd say my chances are slim. Maybe I should look into NM....

I was thinking more like White Sands - my flux capacitor could use a recharge.

Wouldn't you need to go to Sedona, AZ for that (Sedona is Anodes, backwards )
