power steering pump shudder/leak

New member, site looks great! Found a link vis-a-vis this problem (shown as subaru-svxnet/photos/files/How-TO/1334.htm) that is the supposed fix involving o-rings, seals & bearings) but I can't seem to access it. Dumb me?

Cardone has a rebuilt pump for $139... What about the electrical connector and the flow device that regulates the variable assist? Do these fail too?

Your consideration is appreciated as I am aware this is not a new subject for most of you.
