well good luck with the xhaust. The ABS sensors are not hard to get to, they are on the other side of the rotors It is not uncommon to get front wheel spin with the svx just for a moment though and then the rear wheels should swallow up that wasted power

I put a tie cable on the muffler shield, and the muffler had cooled off by then.

As far as the tranny goes, the previous owner had his go out at 120,000 miles. It wasn't heat that did his in, it was the in-line screen that had plugged up, and prevented fluid from flowing anymore.
-That sounds about right concerning the lack of space around the engine. The heat has nowhere to go.

-If the screen/filter was clogged and fluid/coolant wasn't flowing, heat was the COD.

so, does the hose clamp just fit around the two shields? I got under there and began to feel around. I didnt feel anything loose, but the pipe right after the converter rattles when I tap on it. The shields werent loose when I touch them and that makes me think its comming from inside of it.

So should I just slap the hose clamp around the two shields...

tommy stop giving the kid such a hard time. maybe his financials can't support the ownership of the svx.

on another note, i spent $6k for my svx and i think i have well over $6k in upgrades and maintenance. i'm such a sucker for my svx.

all within a year.

I was breakin Chike's marbles not his. If you can afford to have a GN for a toy, I am sure you can afford to keep an SVX running in "decent" shape

I can afford to have the GN as a toy but I cant afford to have a SVX thats a POS that was the issue

I doubt an 18 year old SVX (if it existed) would fetch the same as a GN and the GN was a $20,000 car fully loaded taxes included and I believe the SVX was a $30,000 + car

An 87 GN can easily fetch $10,000 even with some mileage

I think I saw you in your GN last Friday night??? On 81 northbound just south of Wilkes Barre? I was in my Brat headed to Pittston. I went to slow down to get along side of you again but some car was flying down behind me...

If it was you... It looked great in what light was still in the sky.
