Advice #2 - Stealing from a stealership

There's this dealership close by that's offering "$8000 for any trade-in" on their radio ad. I looked the scam up online, and when you get there they tell you it's "up to $8000".

I however decided to have a conversation with one of their salespeople in their tech support chat, and had her confirm that 1. they will give $8000 no matter the value/condition of my vehicle, 2. that $8000 is good towards the purchase of any vehicle new or used, no exceptions.

Now they conveniently disable the option to print the conversation window, but I captured the screen images, so I will have hard proof.

Do you think I have any chance to beat their lie? If not, do you know any good lawyers?

It won't work, otherwise you would trade a cheap vehicle for another cheap vehicle over and over again.

The dodge dealership does this deal too....never looked into it.

That's the other part of the deal, but I'd be paying in cash....

I don't think you have much of a chance with a simple screen shot or e-mail, they're just too easy to doctor. Now if you could get the local TV station to video tape the conversation live, or at least an audio recording, then you might have something to hold them by.

I could be wrong, but I think the catch is that the $8,000 is a loan that they give you that you can apply towards the purchase of one of their vehicles.
