well if its louder that the blitz ram intake than i imagine its a hole lot meaner than stock.

i think its mostly louder because it moves the sond out of the engine bay.

i dont really notice a improvment over the blitz thing but the engine responce is better.

That system in the link is not a ram-air system. See SVXRide's locker for a ram-air intake.

i used one off a nismo off a sentra and its awsome good fit with some hacking down with a saw but it fit so good and tight. perfect. u could also find one for a sentra off ebay or anywhere alot cheaper than the svx intakes.

there is two tubes to the nissan intake the part up top is still in my engine bay (just sawed in half). it had the perfect curve from our maf to the hole to hook to the stock resinator. and bottom half of there intake is in my fender i just took 5 inches or so off the part with the hook. (the hook holds on to the horizontal bar). rubber surrounds with hose clamps on all pieces. i just got my legacy adapter(not in pic) to maf. but i used the old curve to the stock resinator entering the fender. it was impossible to clamp and hose wouldnt fit inside it without a little sanding. then i got a tight fit and some silicone sealent and whala. ive checked on it 3 times after during all downpours and no water has came in yet. sounds better and i can feel the difference for sure mainly around 4000 rpms and as soon as u punch it.

I know this might be a dumn question but does the sealant help issolate the intake cone from engine heat, or is the intake itself sticking far enough out so it wouldn't be too much of an issue, or is it always?

oh thats the same thing. the blitz was just the filter that dayle sold it was made out of a screen door.

similer to the old one i had

the new 'short ram' is much better because it accually filters the air coming into the engine.
