Be careful about doing this mod in climates that are either constantly cold (Alaska) or climates that are seasonably cold (Like New York). If this mod is left bypassed, it's said that if condensate builds up in your throttle body that the throttle body valve can be left in a stuck position. That would not be good during startup or freezing up going down the highway.

Alaska is seasonably cold. I hear our weather is more tame than Wisconsin. Gets to be a good 80 degrees in the summer on average. May get higher this year.

I did this mod yesterday in about ten minutes, 7 of which consisted of unprying the damn squeezermajigger.

No noticeable effect.

I did it yesterday also and haven't noticed a difference yet but have only put about 50 miles on it so far.

I did notice the body was almost cool to the touch after I mobbed home, checking for leaks. Now if only that meant anything....

I was doing a brake band adjustment and figured as long as I had the intake off I'd go ahead and do the mod.
Had the battery unplugged so it might have reset the ECU which could maybe cloud the results.
Time will tell.
