Going to see Episode III?

With Episode III opening this weekend, and large turnouts expected, I was curious what people are planning for the movie. In several places, it opens on Wednesday May 18th and for most everyone else, it opens on Thursday May 19. In fact, many places have midnight (more like 12:01 AM) showings. Are you going to see Episode III?

even more entertaining than the movie is seeing all the retards dressed up in their Star Wars outfits for opening night.

i scored free tickets for the last movie, but i'll just wait until all the B.S. dies down for this one.

With my friend not only suggesting it, but also drove us to the theatre straight from school, we bought tickets at the threatre yesterday for opening day, but with school and all I am not 100% sure we'll make it. At least I can exchange those tickets for a different date that day.

There is a theater here that has a DLP projector, its supposed to be either the only one, or one of very few on the east coast. Its described as HD TV on the big screen, and the movie is an electronic file, not film.

Thats where I will be on Thursday at around 7PM EST

agreed...I have a very good home theater setup..and the DVD's come out pretty fast nowadays..tho this one will be awhile..but not too long..the theaters for me seem to be more of a social event, than an actual movie veiwing..everyone on their cells..and the kids....ugh

Yeah, it is interesting, and annoying. When I went to see Episode I, we had to wait in line becuase ordering movie tickets online wasn't available. So when we got to the threatre in the afternoon, Obi Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader were already there. Then during the show, you'd see a "lightsaber" fly through the air. At the end where Darth Maul and the two Jedi fight, there were lighted plastic tubes flying everywhere. Annoying.

But, the threatre projector overheated and they had to stop the film to allow it to cool. The manager was handing out free coupons at the end for another movie.

When the Two Towers and Return of the King came out, me and my room mate went to see the midnight shows. It was great, but walking out the theatre at 3:30 in the morning wasn't great. Frost on the car and freezing cold. Blah. At one of them, there were a ton of high school kids and they had brough glass beer bottles with them. They had candy wrappers around the labels to "disguise" the contents, but throughout the movie, you'd hear glass coming to a rest on concrete. Not very sly.

Anyway, I am going on opening night, hopefully.
