Angry Removal of Wood Trim @ Window Switches ?

OK, I've read you can remove the screws and have, but it ain't coming out. I removed the screw under the felt pad and the screw under the door handle. I can pry away, but so far, only split (still usable), the screw tab under the felt pad. It just won't come up or off ?
IT also would seem there's an attachment on the front end of the piece ?

I'm replacing my window switches...or trying to ?

Thx...

Take off the entire door panel to replace the switches:

Remove the two screws from beneath the felt inside the arm rest, one screw from beneath the plastic pry-off cover that's directly below the door handle, and two screws from the leading edge of the door panel. Snap the door panel loose from the bottom, lift it off, and disconnect the electrical connections.
