Nice job, Nick! We used to Auto-X an '80 Wagon. Always prayed for rain (or snow!). We weren't very fast, but it's always a good time.
Keep up the good work. P.S. You still in Illinois?

Yup, still in Champaign. It's not a great town, but we do hope to be here for some time.

Awesome. Too bad you don't have video, it would be hilarious to see!
Keep it up! I did some auto-xing this past weekend as well but I'll save that for a separate thread.

Here is my results in the XT6 with 2 more events for the season in my SCCA region. Could use a cheering session this Sun and next at Penn National in Grantville PA. Must get at least second both events!
I'm in HS! To: scca-susq@yahoogroups.com From: "Ed Golla" <EGolla@msn.com> [Add to Address Book] Add to Address Book Date: Wed, 22 Sep 2004 14:52:38 -0000 Subject: [scca-susq] Summer Series standings. With only two events remaining, here's a summary of those eligible for year-end trophies. SS - Dick Puerzer has clinched 1st AS - Jon Oravec has clinched 1st BS - Eric Huth must compete in the final 2 events to win. CS - Jim Bobeck has clinched 1st DS - After 8 events, John Guarnera has a 2 point lead over his co- driver, John Rudy. However, Jim Snyder and Dave MacDougall have missed 2 events. Counting only the best 6 for each driver, it looks like this: Dave, Jim, John R, John G and only 4 points between 1st and 4th. Anyone can win and this is definitely the one to watch. ES - Mike Snyder must compete in the final 2 events to win. FS - Kerry Watts has clinched 1st. GS - Jeremy Smith leads, but Ed Golla has missed 2 events. Counting only the best 6 for each driver, Ed leads by 1. HS - Ben Roth leads Forrest Graeff by 3. Forrest must compete in one of the last 2 events to qualify for a trophy and needs help to make up the distance to 1st. STS - Alex Brooks-Nelson leads by 3 and Mike Louie and Aaron Couch are tied for 2nd. Alex has been on a roll, with 4 wins in a row, but the other two aren't out of it yet. STX - Kevin Roche has clinched 1st and Robert Beck has clinched 2nd. John Dunnock needs one more result to qualify for a trophy and Chris Young can bump him down to fourth. SM - Anthony Miller has the advantage over Markus Houser. Curtis Lahr has clinched 3rd. SM2 - Jeffrey Bowen needs to compete in 1 more event to win. ASP - No drivers have enough events. BSP - John Watts has clinched 1st. CSP - Paul Sciukas has clinched 1st. DSP - Geoff Craig has a 5 point lead over Vince Gladfelter, who leads Ian Hirschtritt by 4. ESP - John Norton leads Chris Paveglio by a slim margin. FSP - No drivers have enough events. Prepared and Modified - No drivers have enough events. Ladies - Pauline Keithley needs one more result to qualify for a trophy. Yahoo! Groups Sponsor ADVERTISEMENT [click here]

Yeah, I don't think the Mini will be there next year though. Word is that the Mini S is moving up from G so I'd suspect the standard Mini would probably move up as well. There's a national driving ability guy who races here sometimes in a standard Mini that has beat the times of the 2 G Minis in the area (both of whom have very good national driver ability pilots as well). The cars are set up the same for the most part (konis and same Hoosiers).
I'm not concerned with the minis just yet. Still trying to beat this Dodge Omni GLH in the class with the same driver since the car was new. I'm thinking next year so long as my Mom finally gets a new car I'll be competing in a Legacy Turbo sedan with less than 100k on the odo. My 6 is fun but AWD would make it better.

I think the real problem with H-stock is that it's a catch-all class for 'everything else.' The cars in HS vary in performance by a huge margin compared to other classes.
