Turbo!!!

Hi all so the car is done and I pick it up on Friday. Hear is some of the good stuff enjoy! (I will be doing a full write up when I get the car back)

Turbo as you can see the air exit goes in to the fender net to the ABS stuff and the air in comes from the hole for the stock air box.

Intercooler and intake.

Overall

Custom manifold before the throttle body with additional injectors

And the best pic of all never thought that it would look so good under the stock bumper

That's awesome, dude! Who did you get to do the rest of the work? Are you planning on getting it on a dyno for some fine tuning? I'm anxious to hear what your driving impressions are... which I hope are better than expected!

That looks freakin' awsome! I can't wait to get a ride in it. I guess there are some benifits in going to New Mexico Tech.

Nice man! That's one badass looking set-up...

I'll be interested in hearing about your impressions after you pick it up Friday.

SOO EXCITING!!! with all that extra heat it would be a good idea todrive around with the center mock light/97 grille out. And maybe isntall some small squirrel fans in place right before the radiator. Im pumped, let us know how it goes after you've tuned it out

One question how evenly will the intake manifold distribute the fuel?

MEET MEET MEET

I really want to check this out, and I'll be home from Oct 1 through Oct 20 or so. We should definitely set up a meet during that time!!

I also have a question...now that the intercooler is getting all the fresh air, how's the radiator gonna keep the engine cool? All stuff that can be worked out, I suppose...just curious.

Hope that Friday goes well and that you absolutely love it!

any details?

turbo size? (looks kinda small)
engine management?

injectors?

also looks like you may be blocking some of the radiator. i would watch for heating issues.

looks good man! i am sofa king jealous

<-- new here, so bare with me if I ask questions I should know the answer to...

I'm really interested in a turbo (well twin turbo actually) in a year or two. What sort of supporting mods do you have?

Fuel delivery: pump and injectors?

Engine managment: can you piggy-back the ECU or did you go stand-alone?

Transmission: what's putting all that power and torque to the wheels?

Exhaust: I assume it's a 3-2-1 header setup to an up pipe, then a 2.5" or 3" turbo back?

Intercooler: is that all custom fabbed, or does someone make a kit?

Turbo: what turbo are you using, how much boost?

Motor: did you lower the compression before going FI?

...and most importantly: how does it drive!!? How's the lag? Got it on a dyno yet?

Anyway... that setup looks pretty sweet. I agree that the FMIC looks terrific! I didn't think you could get one down in that bumper, but you're right, it looks great!

a few of your questions answered.

1. twin turbo is possible anything is poissible but fact is we have trouble find room for plumming for one turbo.

2. really depends on your power needs the stock pump i would assume is big like most 6cylinder cars and our injectors are pretty heafty as well.

3, i am not sure

4. he has a 5spd

5. no headers its using a custom manifold .

6. there is no intercooler kit for our cars

7. not sure what he used looks like a t3

8. not sure what he did but there is no real reason to do this. 10:1 isn't super high many honds run a lot of boost with way higher compressin. . you can always lower it though to run some more boost but if u lower u lose power and gain it back from boost its a trade off. usually spool slower too.

9 he mentioned not getting to drive it till friday we will haft to see. i demand video!!!!!!!!
