What's happening to parts prices?

I bought a TPS about two years ago and think I paid about $80. Now the various online places are quoting a price around $160 (list over $200).


Also, while I'm here, does anybody know if I need to order like 7 different part numbers to do the rocker covers? The diagram looks like

Right Hand

then 16 of 13271AA051

That adds up to over $90 (discounted) for lousy rocker cover gaskets???

Just get the complete engine gasket set for $253.62 that covers it all.
