I wonder if its more appropriate to calculate the MEP using the rpm at peak HP (5500 rpm). In that case the MEP would be 12.7. You still get the same answer for your HP estimate at 3.8 liters though.

what sort of increase would you expect from lightened heads with a *Higher* compression ration... if any other internals would have to be changed... just wondering what the effects of a 11:1 or 12:1 compression ration would be.
