nice exercise, used to do that kinda stuff in the Air Force right before Air Shows, we called it a M.A.R.E. exercise. They would give us at random cards that explained our injuries and mental problems related with a catastrophy. I got the broken arm and confusion cards, I was told to wander around like I was nuts, it was fun, they put me on the med bus after the provided first aid for the broken arm and I went out the back emergency door to go wander some more like I wasnt hurt, it was fun !!

Lie = to repose or to recline

Lay = to place or to put


For example: You can't say, "She was lied across the hood"; but you can say, "She was placed across the hood."
(I'll bet you expected me to use another word)

I know that all you guys make fun of me because I try to raise the level of English usage on this forum. I can't help it. My training and work enviroment requires accuracy and precision.

For example, most people (including engineers, unfortunately) use the terms 'bolt' and 'screw' interchangeably. That is not correct. A bolt and a screw are two different types of fastener. They operate on opposite principles. You can't substitute one for the other in the following sentence.
"He bolted for the door"

we have disaster drills at my hospital, it is pretty fun, they tag um and bring um and each one has their own story. it is pretty fun, but going through 2 real disasters, i think that the drills aren't even close to the real thing.

OR, you could just use the opening quotes WITH the closing quotes AND spell accessorized correctly while giving your English lesson.
