I Found One!!!!!

Today at school I bumped into the owner of a black SVX... Very Exciting!!!! I told him about the site so we'll see if he comes over here to say hello . He said he's had his for 4 years and spent 5200 on it originally but put @ 8,000 in it so far. I think it was what we'd call the LS model not positive if that's the correct term . But it didn't have leather. Seems pretty cheap though anyway because I spent 6200 on mine and that was this past year not 4 years ago!! And guess what the BEST part was..... He had 2 wheels on backwards!!!! Actually Larry <svx6595> pointed it out but i'll take the credit . Anyway... just thought i'd share .

LOL... Very humiliating....

Larry's car is almost there... he just put a new Wurst Super Shifter in and did a few things to get her running better like... RETARD THE TIMING. lol

How's the 5th gear situation??

Did you mean Hurst?
What he dosn't want to run 110octane in it on a daily basis?

I just got my new tranny today, (thank you Shane) and hope to put it in Sunday. After I get it going again, I'll take the old one apart to see what I broke.

P.S. Are you coming to the Tri-state meet next weekend?

Ooooppss

Yes I meant Hurst ... my bad. Glad to hear your car is going to be better again. He still runs booster but, he doesn't have to buy the racing fuel. There are pics in my locker of it. I don't think we're going to make it to the meet because thats the weekend before finals for us . It's just too long of a drive.

Oh well theres always next year .

Wow! Just checked out the pics, that thing looks good. Seems like a pretty good find. Finals must suck huh? I actually got out of finals my junior year because the principal jumped in front of an 18wheeler and they felt that the students were to distraut to take them. Anyway good luck and I'll see ya at someother meet.

So far so good. I think he has put about $400 into her so far. Not too bad at all. The interior needs some work. Someone near us has a parts car we are gonna check out Friday.
Its a lil too fast for me , but he seems to like it

~Jen

P.S. Hopefully we will meet up sooner than later

Ah the 'Wurst' Hi-Performance shifter. I hav'nt heard about them in years. I believe that there were only 2 models available.
They were; the std. 2WD hi-performance unit called the
'Liver-Wurst' Shifter, then there was the 4WD hi-performance shifter called (wait for it) the 'Brat-Wurst' Shifter.

Jen, I'm sorry. I just couldn't resist. I tried to fight it, but finally gave in. The urge was just too strong.
Oh, now I remember they also had a special unit specifically designed for hi/lo range trannys used with 4WD. It was called the 'Knock-Wurst' Shifter.

Javalin

Hi Jen and Larry, I had a Javalin sometime in the late '60 early '70. Don't hold me to the date. Four speed, limeted slip, small V8, and Dunlop Red Stripe Radial tires. I drove it about 50,000 miles a year on my job in sales covering the states of Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky. I don't have any horror stories to tell, so it must have been OK. Also I liked your pics you posted. Take care, BOBB
