Question O/T Brats/XT6's

I know it's an SVX board, but since other people are talking about other cars, I figured why not?

My boyfriend has a XT6 in great condition. Only thing it would need is a paint job. Anyways, he is in love with Brats. He is considering trading his XT6 or just flat out buying a Brat in good condition.

Anyone know anyone selling a Brat, preferably in the PA, NJ, MD, DE, etc. area?

Thanks.

I no a guy up hear who has 2 BRATs and would probly trade for an XT, but there kinda rotting underneath. In fack i'd be surprized if he finds a BRAT that isn't rotting out, and they would be pretty slow compared to an XT6, but good luck.

I think i must gert slep noow! zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

To find the good Brats, you gotta look down South ... there was a Brat Turbo for sale on Ebay not too long ago in Alabama.

Yep, they made a factory 1.8T with Hi/Lo AWD for two model years.. definitely the Brat to have!

Brat

I'd consider trading my Brat for a XT6 4wd with less than 90k and a manual transmission that is in need of NOTHING. You can find them around here. Just got to look for a while (took me 6 months to find a road worthy/ restorable body). The turbo brat was only made 2 years 83-84. The downsides to 'em is that the came only with the auto (you can install a 4 speed dual range w/o that much trouble) and the engines require a fair amount more upkeep.

Re: Brat

He has a 4WD and his engine was rebuilt and that has about 20K miles on it, but it's an automatic. I bet he would really want the turbo one, too. Oh well.

Have you seen any in the Lancaster area lately? We don't live too far from you.

Make your own turbo BRAT with an EJ20T. I saw on some site somewhere, I think it was in Australia where they have EJ20T and TT's laying around all over the place. There was pictures of this BRAT some guy stuck a Legacy Twinturbo motor in, it was cool but I think just a little scary.

That would be cool if he knew how to do it, but even still, he'd need a BRAT first. :P
