I'm tempted to go look, but I'm going to try to hold out until Thursday for Speed's ridiculous coverage.

French approach

<Go Citroen!!! Havent seen them on top in a while>

The only ones I ever rode in, were being used as taxis in Reykjavik, Iceland. Their fluid suspensions handled the potholes MUCH better than the Mercedes taxis. Odd looks; great ride.

Smile Citroen

I remember in high school (late '60's) a friends father had a D-21 I think. Weird car, four on the column, the brake pedal looked like one of those old time windshield washer foot pumps, just a rubber hump thingie on the floor. The steering wheel had one spoke, no joke. The suspension was adjustable, you could actually change the real tire without a jack I think. They did an add campaign back in the 50's or 60's where they drove one around New York with one rear wheel removed and a helium ballon attached to the bumber. Weird cars, but the seats were like sitting in the most comfortable lounge chair you ever saw.

There was another rally this weekend, but in Michigan, USA. I was there. Here is what my SVX looked like after travelling to the event and back:

Mitsubishi won overall. For more information on this event, go to www.sno-drift.org

We (a group of 7 people in 4 cars) were travelling through some two-track roads trying to get to a good photo spot in the middle of one of the stages. We came upon a steep hill covered in 6 inches of fresh snow. A van and a Ford Focus (with snow tires) were taking turns trying to get up the hill and failing.

We arrived (SVX, Legacy, Impreza and Forester) and asked if they could move over to let us by. One by one we went up the hill with ease. It is moments like those that remind me why I love AWD.

Thumbs up The seats!

<the seats were like sitting in the most comfortable lounge chair you ever saw>

You are right....how could I have forgotten....the seats were the most comfortable I have ever experienced in a car! You could have crossed a continent in those things and jumped out without a ache or pain.....Don

Citroen is a car you dont see in the US and it really is a shame, they are an amazing car and if you ask me the WRC car they have ran the last few years looks rather nice...

Citroen was always an odd ball. Similar was Nash. As a kid, I remember a neighbor who had a '51 Nash Airflite. It had what must have been 3 foot long coil springs on all four corners of its 120" wheelbase, with thick, plush fold-down front seats. Not exactly to rally, but from coast-to-coast, a rolling living room.

Ron (lazy-boy fan).
