AAAAGh I broke one

Under the Intake Plenum there are 3 vacuum switches. I have sheered off one of the vacuum ports on 1 switch. It is the switch on the back right side of the assembly. There are no markings on this switch, and it is in a metal sandwich.

Please identify it {picture} and lemme know if it is interchangeable part with any other vehicle.

Thanks folks.

Re: AAAAGh I broke one

If you can't find a replacement, JB weld works wonders. You could also drill the hole out slightly (and carefully!) and insert a short length of metal tubing and then put a little JB weld around it to seal/hold it in place. I did that when I broke off a similar fitting when replacing my vacuum hoses last fall.

Re: AAAAGh I broke one

I could do that, but I was hoping to find one on another car to pull off intact. Ebay has droves of them, and the Miata Purge Solenoid looks to be the right one by appearance, but I don't want to put something in that goes off at the wrong value.

Re: AAAAGh I broke one

Similar vintage legacys also used them.

Re: AAAAGh I broke one

Problem is if you pull another intact one that's the same age it will also be similarly brittle.

Re: AAAAGh I broke one

Yeah. So, I did the JB Weld fix, and got it back in play.
I have the engine out for the Flexplate, so a few things are getting found, and remedied.

But it's a good opportunity to take care of those things without all the monkey work to get to them.
