Now I see where the exhaust leak was from

These are the two pictures of the two pipes that come into a Y.





Not even sure what to do. I need a new pipe, but for now I am going to sleeve a pipe in there. Why replace only one??? Damn you previous owner!

I feel like you have been presented with a perfect opportunity to put straight pipes on your car.

Or at least to replace that silly combine/converter.

Actually when I get the right setup I have all the flanges and pipes to build long tubes.

wow I've never seen a subaru exhaust component rot like that, specially that close to the engine (source of heat). You must be in the North East US where they salt the roads?

I guess since we are on the subject of that part of the exhaust, what style of gasket/seal is used at the joint? or is it simply the sleeve that seals joint?

Donut gasket not sure of the part number.
