Diagnostic tool in the UK for JDM?

Hiya Guys

Does anyone know if anyone in the UK has diagnostic tools to read the JDM SVX?

I now have access to mine again after over a year stuck in the barn behind another project and need to get a couple of small issues sorted and use it again over the summer.

Cheers.

That's true.

Any dealer with an old select monitor II and the SVX cartridge should be able to read it. Some years ago, SGT in taplow were able to read the 4WS codes from mine. But they didn't know how to fix them.

I don't think the current select monitor III supports the old OBD1 cars.

Re: Diagnostic tool in the UK for JDM?

Cheers guys, I shall give it a go, my old local dealer said they could only do UK or European cars a couple of years ago but they were probably the worst dealer in the country at the time! I never needed to take it so it never became an issue.

It's an intermitten problem that has got worse, it would start fine when cold then after a run and was warm would not rev when started again and had to be blipped on the throttle to keep it barely running and the cat overheat light would come on then all of a sudden it would rev freely and not be a problem.
It then started cutting out at junctions now and again and had the same starting issues as above.
It then started cutting out after losing power while driving and backfired a couple of times the last time blowing the airbox open.

I parked it up and it ended up getting blocked in behind a rebuild I started so couldn't get it out again to sort. It's starts perfectly but will cut out after a while when hot and on idle.
I expect its a sensor failing somewhere. It does however feel a bit like fuel starvation but because it runs fine and no problems when cold I'm kind of leaving that on the back burner to go back to if nothing else shows up electrical.
