Re: WTB: rear quarter panel (driver side)

The side of the quarter is good, but the rear of the quarter is mashed a little down by the bumper...

The doors are good, but the fenders are not..

The quarter could be straightened, where is yours hit, maybe post a pic...might be able to splice it somewhere

it's gonna have a r-title.
driver side (fender, door, 1/4 panel) were wrecked
by someone while sitting at the parking lot.
interior, engine only 71xxxK, tranny is only 36K now
the tranny was rebuilt by PO around 35K...3.545 tranny (two cooloers).
so interior, engine, tranny are in good conditions.
only body damage been sitting for a year and half since wreck.
I bought it back for like $430 because I thought it was a pity
to scrap it.
how much and what is the best would you like to pay for it?
if i put for 4 tires and brakes....it'll make it to your place but
you're so far, far away! if i let it go for few hundreds bucks,
i don't see the value because it won't even take care half of
my apartment rent.....should i just spend time and fix it in a
cheaper way then I will have a decent svx to drive in the winter?
Or what is your best offer? because i don't know what's
fair price on this one.
the worse decision i'd make it parting it out my yellow one to
fix this one....make 2 into 1 because the yellow one has good
body shell but it doesn't run as good. so i don't have to pay
for any parts but just labor.
so far i found one or two guys are willing to swap my body parts
from yellow one to teal one for $700-$750 and to spray a new color
on my teal one for about $400. I have to pay for all the parts and
all the painting materials.

Hmmm....found the old thread: (with pictures)

http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=45935

any opinions welcome but I will be the one to make the final decision.
so far I m attempting (it's sad) to part out my yellow one to
fix the teal one. (yellow one looks good but it doesn't run as good)

thanks for your times!
I will send you a PM so as to not clutter up your wtb thread

My teal was wrecked one month before you joined the network.
Thank you for the PM! Like you said, don't think I want to trade mine plus cash with your claret. You're right. I also don't know if I want to sell mine too,......now I just wish to have one nice low mile SVX...if I am gonna fix it up I will paint the whole car. The reason I think of parting out the yellow one(it also doesn't run as well) also my landlord been giving me problems of the parking spot. If I use yellow and combine the best part and make one really good one, I will then have one car less. (so much relaxed) Other than two SVXi, I also have my nissan, mazda and kia. So I also understand why my landlord been giving me hard times although he has a big, and many extra space parking lot in the apartment complex.

You can pm me your cellphone number if you like. If I change my mind or anything, I will text you. I give myself some time frame as I promised my landlord to fix my car before July...because his apartment complex is not a junk yard or etc I can't leave my wrecked SVX there forever.

Thank you.
With the low miles, I'd say it's worth it to fix it, especially if you wanted to keep it...still looks drivable...so it'd drive to where ever you were fixing it...

Re: WTB: rear quarter panel (driver side)

I found a 96 polo part car. It's kinda perfect part car for my 92 because everything is damaged on my 92 is good shape on the 96.

Then, kind of, mostly stuff is damaged on the 96 is good on my wrecked 92.

Someone suggested I should fix the 96 rather than the 92. But my 92 is LSL, the 96 is L, I think. 92 will have a rebuilt title once is fixed. 96 will have a clean title if it's fixed!

But I can probably buy the whole body shell 96 for $200 (it's a good price) WITHOUT drive train. He will ask for at least a thousand and up if I want the drain train because the tranny was rebuilt not too long before it's wrecked. Then the cost of repair process will go up much higher.

Here are some pictures:

Any opinions much appreciated. So headache lol.
