Fuel Filter hoses

Ok what's the trick to removing the fuel filter hoses without cutting the hoses off. They are on there tight even with the clamps removed.

Re: Fuel Filter hoses

Funny you ask, I just changed mine this morning. I forced a pick down between the hose and pipe and sprayed silicone lube down there to loosen it up.

Re: Fuel Filter hoses

twisting usually works. depending on the age of the hoses, you might want to just replace them (make sure to use FI-rated hose).

Re: Fuel Filter hoses

The car has been sitting for 2 days...fuel pump was unplugged yesterday...
I just replaced the filter, but there was a small amount of fuel in the lines. I didn't spill any though, so it's all good.
