How hard is it to change the starter?

Where is it located? You access it from the top or the bottom?

Access from the top and one of the easier to replace items on the car. Drivers side rear of the engine. Disconnect the battery before starting the process.

Re: How hard is it to change the starter?

disconnect neg battery remove 2 bolts, 2 wires... larger cable has a nut... one wire just pushes on... a spade connector.
check the spade connector for looseness when you remove it and visually make sure it has not overheated. (discolored from the heat caused by being loose). when installing new starter, be sure and put both wires back on firm and tight.

I would also take the starter in for testing, if you cannot test it yourself, when getting a replacement. Many times the starter is not the problem if it doesn't work. Interesting contraptions we have.
Good luck,
Keith
