Gotta love craigslist...

I'm browsing through, and I find this:

Quote:
Hello i am looking for a hauling trailer anything under 6000 lbs. I'm looking for a donation or one for a very cheap price i have a very tight budget and can't really afford that much money, I'm looking to haul a race car with it, i don't want a very large trailer and not too small either just looking for a medium affordable trailer for a race car to be hauled in. please if you have anything that you think i might be interested in. please call me on my cell at 412-953-9336 or email me my name is Josh.
And then the very next posting on craigslist:

Quote:
Seems to me that if you can afford to have a race car, you shouldn't have any problem buying a trailer. The yellow pages are full of dealers of course they don't want to donate it they want to be paid. Gotta go I need to make my list of things I want free.
I am amused, so I figured some of you all might be.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, scotch in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA !!!!!

one misconception, depending on the type of racing most racers buy cheap old cars then fix them up. They will spend more on entrance fees for race day then they will on the car.

my husbands new drift car cost us all of $1300. most of these guy go cheap on the car and then wicked expensive on the engine. so asking for a cheap trailer or donation is pretty common, especially when they dont have a sponsor.

racing in any form is expensive, although if the car is road legal just drive it there and dont break it on the track.
