new tranny
I just put a rebuilt transmission in my SVX for 4000. Is that to much? But it also came with a life time warranty!!!

Whatever you are told don't sweat.

If you like the car a lot, hold onto it and enjoy it for an extended period, the peace of mind could/will be worth the price. Balance the cost against the depreciation on the cost of another car which would give you equal pleasure.

lifetime warrentee? You made out like a bandit if you happen to be keeping the car for a while
there are cheaper remans out there..but parts plus labor, plus a warentee for 4g is pretty fair price for peace of mind

how did you get a lifetime warranty on a transmission you installed? where did you buy the tranny? sounds like a steal!!!

I called around to all of the transmission mechanics around here. This guy I went through said he would give me a life time warranty. So I figured I would take it considering that this was the 3rd transmission I have had installed! As for the car itself, I don’t think I will ever give it up. I love the way it handles as well as the look! So I am keeping her for a very long time!!
YEA you could say I have the SVX bug BAD!
