I meant the game "Dirt" that is for both 360 and ps3.

I realized that. The point of the post was the XBox 360 has a high rate of failures, so if you haven't bought one yet, get the PS3. If you have the XBox already, then get Dirt if you want it. I plan on getting it when I get the PS3. I didn't think it was that difficult to understand. Sorry.

Also "better" is a tough term to figure out. I find the controller for the PS3 easier to use.

I was in stationed in San Antonio, and visited a few times, love the city.

Ahh, I see. I heard both the PS3 and 360 were having alot of problems, but mostly I was wanting to know if anybody had tried Dirt on both consoles. I'm not gonna be getting a 360 anyways because I want GT5 aswell.

San Antonio is nice, but eh, I live here so i'm not to thrilled about all the sights haha. It is a nice place to visit and we've got alot of good restaurants though.

what problems is the PS3 having? haven't heard of any, other than being a year behind the Hotbox360, but now its starting to catch up with a ton of games being released for it, and additional features added as updates....

i saw something that said Dirt looked better on the PS3, but there's probably not a noticeable difference between the two. a lot of the first PS3 games were ported from the 360, but now some games are starting to come out with the PS3 as the lead platform.

I bought my 360, through my employer, directly from MS at launch a little over two years ago. It has failed twice and is currently out for repair.

Even with those failures, I'd still take a 360 over the PS3. Who cares if it's more reliable if there's nothing compelling to play on it?

that may have been the case at launch, but not anymore. i'd rather USE my console than constantly ship it back to MS. you're lucky - some idiots have returned theirs 5 or more times.

just got the PS3 update tonight to play DIVX files.

It's true enough for me. We see every new PS3 game at work, and I've yet to see one that convinces me to buy the console.

I don't know that I'd call people who have had their 360s break on them 'idiots.' I mean, unless they tried wrapping it in a towel or dropping it in a bathtub or whatever it is the kids are doing these days.

I think I read that the recent update to the 360 adds divx compatibility. I hope that's the case - I download Top Gear and have to convert it to a format the 360 likes before I can play it through Media Center.

GT5 only PS3. Dirt is out for both. Resistance Fall of Man is just as good as Gears of War. Granted, PS3 didn't get the big head burger king games, but for the most part the games are on both, or equal.

Warhawk, UT3, Resistance FOM, Uncharted ...... all awesome games.

of course, there's GT5 coming, too.
