Snowboard Rack
So I've searched quite a bit but the Rola brand is too expensive and the Barrecrafters site says nothing will fit the SVX. SO.. what I'm really looking for is something to haul 3-4 snowboards around during the winter. Something like a trunk mounted bike rack maybe? Do they make those for snowboards? Anyone have any ideas?

The rack does exist for the SVX. It is specially made for it... but would you put it and use it in that sense?

...Hell, Id haul snowboards on the roof of my svx...
I know someone made a rather large rack to carry his hang glider...try finding that thread, and it'll give you insight into making your own if need be

I wanna use my SVX 'cause it's the only car I have to get to the hill lol. And Yes 4 snowboards would fit in the trunk if I put the seats down but then I wouldn't be able to accommodate 3 passengers to use the boards :P
I don't know anything about making my own rack and that includes like welding and stuff so yeah. Been looking around. If I find something I'll let you all know.

Why on earth would you wanna drag your knuckles like a cave man anyways!
I wouldn't trust a magnetic carrier nor a bike carrier style unless it was hitch mounted an you gotta get a hitch first. Good luck with that ! Get yourself a locker at the ski resort. It'll be cheaper! |

One of the California forum members, Matt (still here?), has the snow board carrier on his Laguna Blue seen in this photo link.
