wow Morgantown gang

Hello welcome,

I'm very familiar with Morgantown and in Morgantown. It's not difficult to find some SVXi in Morgantown. Trust me, I can remember where I usually see the SVX, and, I can at least bring you to five different places to have a SVX in my memory now. I don't think any car lots in town looks like that and I was thinking at the Audi/VW dealer at clarksburg from the picture.

I have to agree when it's snowing badly, I will feel better to drive an AWD around or drive my SVX in town. All steep hills! wvupat11, I hope you can get a good one and make sure this is the car you want, I don't think SVX's so good to be abused and it costs a lot money to drive. I can only get 12-13mpg in town because of the locations/traffics...and I own mine for a good while...also it's not my car is something wrong, the other SVXers I talk to in town get similar mpg. You can't see mine around very often because I don't drive it a lot...and it needs tires/brakes.

budlaer, do you own a teal one? I lately keep seeing a teal one(seems like 92) around in town. Look pretty good conditions from a distance. The plate starts with "OLK...something" I didn't get it remembered. I have seen that at 705 and beechurst lately. wvupat11, if you do get one you like, we should have a mini-meet.

I also know about the subeshop at milesground. Ernie is a nice guy but that's weird, from what I know his workers hate to work on SVX. If you told him about me, I'd know his respond.

Thumbs up

I see that this car has the rare "Correctly Mounted Wheel" option. Gotta' make it worth a few bucks more than the average '96. Offer $4,000.00 cash if you can get a 30 day warranty.

Ron.

I do own a teal one. I am staying off of Wiley St for a few months. To be honest, I don't even know my own license plate number, sad isn't it. We should plan a mini meet. that sounds cool. It looks good but I could use some new paint, not too bad just on the front spoiler, Morgantown roads and all, and there are a few chips on the rear spoiler.

Erines guys seemed kind of pumped to work on my car, a little gun shy maybe because they don't see too many of them but they sure were lined up to test drive it when it was fixed. I think they were cool with me because I wasn't in a hurry for them to fix it so they were not under any time constraints.

Keep in touch, my email and IM are on my profile here.

I don't think they offered this color in 1996?? It also looks like someone painted the rims. I'd check the vin and do a carfax. Good Luck.

The color is Brilliant Red and the wheels are the correct silver color. 1992-1993 had the darker silver. 1994-1997 has the bright silver.

Binding like you describe is likely Solenoic "C" in the rear tailshaft of the tranny. This is a common problem and too too expensive to fix.

One of the best svx mechanics in West Virginia, Tom Krynock, is located in Wiley Ford, WV (90 miles from fairmont). He is a member here and his handle is "svxfiles".

He is an SVX expert mechanic and has extensive experience with AWD binding and solenoid C problems. The has done many 4.44 transmission swaps, 6-speed manual conversion, etc.

Contact him through here by posting or a PM or check out his website HERE
