4 CODES codes for tranny!!!

hey everyone, I just picked up a black 94 svx, with around 144k on the clock. The car spit 6 codes at me, on the engine it was starter switch, and water temp sensor, and on the tranny it spit duty solenoid a, solenoid 1, atf temp sensor and vehicle sensor 1. I know just the solenoid pack itself is around $380. The car shifts once on take off, then I think it stays in 2 or 3. on take off it feels like its in 3rd alot of revving to get the car moving. On the highway my torque converter did lock up. If I keep driving will I burn the clutches? Should I swap out the trans or fix these problems?

If all those codes are indeed legit it really goes to show the respect the previous owner had for the car.

...basically they drove it until it died and didn't fix anything.

I would check to see if the TCU wiring is plugged in to the trans. With the TCU plug out, it would default to 3rd gear only, and all those codes would post.

Harvey.

Harvey, your unplugged harness theory was correct! but didnt solve my problem =( I checked the harness on the right side, and 5 wires were cut, yellow,yellow-green, red, black, orange, all from the transmission, I connected it back to the original wiring and it still spit codes, but this time only 3 codes, 11,15,32. Now I have to dig deep into my pockets to fix this! I guess 4.44 here I come!

Oh chalk that one up, The ATF Temp sensor, very rarely gives trouble, so it guessed that it must be open circuited.
Five cut, wonder what were they trying to do.

Harvey.
