255-50-R16 tires on 7.5" wheel?
I have a line on some used Goodyear GSCS race tires 255-50-R16. Will these fit on a stock SVX? I have a set of late model 300Z wheels, non turbo. They have a 45mm offset, which sticks out 10mm farther from the car than stock wheels.
This would be an autocross only setup. The tire diamater is almost the same as a 225-55-R16. The 225 suggested wheel width is 7", 255 is 8". The tread is only 1" wider than stock. Anyone try this? I am pretty sure it should work. Kevin

Those tires are over 13% taller than stock. I wouldn't recommend them. If they were a 40 or 45 series then maybe.

Yeah, probably not a good idea unless they were free.
Thanks

They'll fit, probably rub a bit unless you have some seriously strong springs on there. I wouldn't advise 'em. We have 275 50s that we've used a couple times. Definately nice on grip not so nice on gear ratios.
