Strange Idle?

I was driving all over town today (1 1/2 hours of driving, mostly Highway, 92F, Heat Index: 99F) And right before I got home, I would be sitting at a Long light, or behind a Schoolbus letting Brats off that took their own sweet time (Min. Wait time for a Schoolbus today, 5min) anyway... I started noticing my idle
doing something weird, However it was NOT concestant, It would be Idleing just fine, in drive, stoped, then the engine would jerk, like something Seized for 1/10 of a sec, then be fine... It First felt like it came from the tranny so next time I had to stop, I put her in Neutral, same thing happened after a while...
also in Park as well...

Now, this whole time, I had my A/C going, Once I got home, I tried just stoping in the driveway, and keeping it in drive and just holding the brake, hoping to recreate it... didn't happen again.

Hopefully, It wont happen again, but if it does, I will attempt to turn off the A/C to see if it happens after that, etc.

If anyone has any ideas of what this could be, please let me know, I just got this SVX and I REALY dont need any problems to deal with

Probably just the engine cooling fans changing speed. (low when A/C on, engine cool and high when engine hot)

Engine actually increases in RPM when the fans come on.

But the Fans comming on wouldn't result in a very noticeable "Thud" would it?

You have a situation in very hot conditions where the extra fan comes on to keep the engine at normal temperature. This adds load to the engine, and the ECU will move up the revs to compensate.

In addition to this, your AC compressor cuts in and out on demand using the electromagnetic clutch in order to keep cool air flowing.

What could have happened is both fans and AC compressor came on at the same time, big electrical load, and the engine had a hiccup because the ECU was slow to respond.

If it does not happen again, don't worry too much. If it does happen again, you may need to have a look at your throttle body assembly. There is a slow running valve on that which is controlled by an electrical device. If this is dirty or faulty [it's usually dirty] you may need to work on it.
