this window is a pain...

k, so i need advice again...
i got my new/used window in place, but the cable got extremely screwed up and is now more of a spring than a cable... theres no fixing that cable...

should i... buy a new cable from subaru? and try and attach it back to the motor whilst risking failure again!?

try and find a used motor/cable from you guys?

or... get creative??

thanks-
-drew

p.s. how does the cable go back on the motor? i know this cable is beyond repair, but its gonna bug me at night...

I don't know...I think you could find similar cable and use it. I read someone using bicycle brake cable to fix the window.

Be creative as long as it works...

I love your intro Surely a window is a pane. It is you who are creative.

I know your problem having been faced with it. A fix is possible with much frustration and effort but if you can obtain the whole assembly from used parts outfit go for it. The damaged cable will respond to careful work with a hammer against a flat surface. Working out how it goes back in place is a headache but can be done.
