Not even a relay click?

Does anything else work? Is your fusible link still intact?

If everything else works, then your fusible link is fine. What I mean by the relay, when you turn the key to start, do you hear a click? When you turn on the ignition, do all the warning lights come on?

My guess is starter. Get out your 180 + labor to get it fixed :-/.

this happened to me 4 days ago in my garage, i turned the key twice, and i got a very loud distinct "CLICK" (just a single one i believe), but nothing gained from it.

turned the key twice, got this effect, rolled my eyes, and made a little curse, waited a second, and the car started.

bad starter i was thinking. this guy probably has similar.

I am also experiencing this problem. It is not the starter in my case - I had it rebuilt. There appears to be a problem with the terminal clamp or the cable between the battery and the starter.
