How to install the tranny oil temperature guage?
Hi all,
Can anyone tell me how to install/fix the tranny oil temperature meter. I have installed an external filter of Permacool and I have installed the sensor onto it but havent did the rest part of the temperature guage. I just left the wire ran untill the battery and left there so that i can run it inside later after i get some suggestions. So what is the procedureof installing the temperature guage? thanks in advance, -Pavan. |

There are 3 wires on your temp gauge. One power, one ground, and one that connects to the temp sensor you installed in your filter kit. Hook them up and you are ready to go.

Do you really want to hook it directly to the battery? Aside from create a mess of wires (even more so for us amped SVXers) couldn't a surge cause some damage?
edit: I read your post again and even though it's 6am, I am coherant enough to think you said you will run the wire inside the [somewhere] else. Right?

If ya do you should run an inline fuse with it. I have mine wired into the fuse box. If you're gonna go to the trouble I'd suggest putting the sender in the pan as that is where the highest/most accurate readings will be.
