Question Posessed alarm?!

I have an alarm in my car, not sure if it's OE or not.
When I lock the car, the "security" light flashes...
After a couple minutes, the lights blink, the security light goes solid, then flashes very slowly.
When you unlock and open the car, an alrm is triggered and the lights (inside and out) flash, and the horn honks.
It shuts off only when yhou start the car.

I do not have the remote for the car, only the key.

Anyone know how to disable, or have a remote with programming instructions they can sell?

Thanks!

You can get a remote from subaruparts.com or ebay.

As for disabling the alarm, once you start the car press the security button to shut the alarm off, when you get out, make sure you don't see a light on the button and it off.

It sounds like the passive arming of the OEM alarm. Once armed, the alarm will count down as soon as a door is opened, silently for the first few seconds, then short beeps getting successively faster, and finally the full honk for around 7 or 11 minutes. To disable passive arming, start the engine, then turn it off and remove the key. The security LED should then be flashing. Press the security button once and the flashing should stop, along with the passive arming. Obviously at this point, someone can break in and steal your SVX without attracting any attention, so I would suggest leaving the alarm on.

My non-OEM alarm system did some screwing with the stock one and it sometimes does what it wants.
Just today it autostarted without me pressing the button o_O''
