Aftermarket Extended car warranties

When I bought my my RX7 a few years ago from a dealer I spent $1400 on a "bumper-bumper" warranty.

Needless to say it paid off.

The warranty company paid for $12,000 of repairs (too bad I was just 200 miles past the warranty when my engine blew).

This might be a good investment since the SVX are known to have some rather expensive issues like the tranny.
