What's the best oil grade for the warm weather?

I want to know the best oil grade from the tropics and brand? Like 10-40w, 40w, 50w etc would hold up to the hot weather. Brands like Mobile, Havoline, etc. are some examples.
thanks,
sid

There's a diagram in the SVX owner's manual that recommends 10W-30 for warmer climates and 5W-30 for climates where temps can dip below 0* Farenheit...

I am using castrol super synt. 10W-60. this is the ulltimate in heat handling oils... I dunno you can try it. but for cold weathers use either 0W-40 or 0W-50 grades. I will switch my oil to 0W-40

The island where I think Sid is posting from doesn't get hot enough to warrant 40wt (IMO).

BTW, The Euro spec Castrol products are not available in the US. Same thing as the Sylvania SilverStar headlamps, it's a different animal here versus there even if the name is the same.

Try Chevron Supreme 10W-30, or...

...Chevron Delo 15W-40 if you are really driving it hard in extremely hot conditions.

Cheers!
