Couple seperate problems...

First on my car... when the window is all the way down, and I pull the switch to make it go all the way back up again,( i have auto up and down.. guess the cluster was switched in from a 92) It takes forevvver. like.. really slow after halfway up. then about 1/2 an inch from closing it almost stops... then closes. what could this be?? and any thing i can do???

Second, and I don't have a great discription of this, because its on my moms 97. Shes had a reoccuring problem of 1st cylinder misfires. I'm not sure exactly what the ECU needs to see to throw a CEL with that code, however its happened about 3 times. over the course of less than a year.

the weird thing is the light goes back off by itself. because its pretty "intermittant" (3 times in a year) i'm thinking its probably the coil pack... but what else could it be?? what other things can i check before she buys a 100$ coilpack?

Greg, I've a 92 and the Auto-up doesn't work so no help there.

I had a similar problem, but on another car - turned out to be a marginal O2 sensor, maybe compounded by the bad tank of gas now & then.

Drop it by Autozone and see if their reader can access any stored codes.
