wheels

I bought a set of Exel BK-7's last summer. One got damaged in an early snow storm and got some severe curbage. I called Wheelmax, the place I bought them from and they don't have them anymore. One guy said they could be in at the end of May, but another said they discontinued the color I purchased them in. So I'm kinda in a bind. As far as i know wheelmax.com is the only place that carries Exel wheels. Exelwheels.com is worthless for any info. Anyway, If I had to i guess I could just buy 4 new wheels...since I already have practically brand new 225/40/18 tires, I'll just need wheels. Anyone have any good reccomendations on the somwhat cheaper side of mabye $700-850 for a set of just for wheels 18x7.5?

Its just a tough situation b/c the exels were universal as in 5x100 and 5x111.5 lug pattern. I was contemplating selling the car, so I could have kept the wheels most likely since those are two pretty universal lug patterns. Now if I get a new set, they'll be only one lug pattern, and if I sell the car, they'll go with it. I'm stressed out and out of ideas. What a PITA.

Re: wheels

Have you checked around to see if there is anyplace that repairs wheels? I had one of my wheels repaired after some curb damage and it was about $112 but they did a fantastic job. I'm sure there is a place up there that can do the same.

I was going to check about that...my only concern was it was a contact with the curb..not really a brush against. It slid into a curb going about 4 miles an hour. The lip of the wheel is kinda pushed inward and has cracks along where it hit the curb. I reall don't think it's repairable...but its worth a shot. I'll check but the wheel brand new is only $140. vs 112...i'd rather have a brand new wheel than a repaired one for that amount of money. I can check but i really doubt its repairable.

Hey SVXGIRL182, check out the following website of a company in your neck-of-the-woods: Wheel Collision Center

On their website, they state: "Scratched, bent, gouged or small sections missing, WHEEL COLLISION CENTER can repair it properly, backed by 2½ years of independent metallurgy testing."

They should be worth a call and depending on how close you are to their facility in Bath, PA you could go by and show them your wheel and see if it can be fixed...

Good luck!

Chike
