Nokia N-Gage Anyone, Anyone?
With all the technophiles in attendance I'm wondering what the experience of the group is in matters of the new Nokia N-Gage? actual experience please, I've read the reviews at amazon.com and they're either great or terrible but in every case towards the end they all say "but I don't have one" I need a good phone with good syncing software to MS Outlook. Secondly a bluetooth and wireless internet device and thirdly (lastly) a game.
I'm already with T-mobile so all I need to do is swap my Sim card to get the phone to work. EB has the unit and 3 games for $199 so that's a good deal as well. any info out there? Collins |

What you want is a phone called "SPV" or it's newer brother "SPVx"
Created by MS and Orange, it's a nice phone and it will do everything you wanted.

I'm sure there's a lot of "free" (hint hint) games out there for the N-Gage. It just takes some looking around.

I have a P800 which does all of the above. So far it has been hard to fault.

if you want the order to go phone connectivity games, don't get an ngage, it goes games phone connectivity
it's primarily a gaming device that happens to be a phone altho i don't have one but that is all i really know about it that doesn't actually need first hand experience

I have had it now for about 6 months, with daily use on a building site and it is still going strong. Like most P800 owners, I use it without the flip. For eBay I bought screen protectors, leather case and a cd with 25,000 ringtones, software & games.

I don't own one, nor do I want to. But here's what I do know about it. Using it as a phone is awkward, as the phone is on the side of the unit. The games are a pain in the @$$ to change, you basically have to dissamble the whole thing. And the graphics suck for what it costs. They tried too hard, and the graphics look like PS1 on SNES. Personally, if I did have any desire to game and talk on the go, I'd just by a GBA SP and a regular cell phone, and save myself a few bills.

I don't know a lot about cell phones, but I do know a little about games. The N-Gage has sold very poorly, so I wouldn't expect many good games to be released for it. I don't know w single person who has bought the stupid thing. The buzz well before the N-Gage hit the shelves was 'big, stinking, flaming failure.'
