I'll be thinking about you guys, even as Schumy's Ferrari takes a dump and Montoya goes flashing by to take the Victory
Have a great weekend - and Randy, wish Shari a happy birthday from us
I wish you could be here too, Colin. I'll relay your best wishes to Shari. Please wish Irene a happy birthday from us also. We'll stick a candle in a slice of Baklava for her.

Is my tardiness going to be a problem? Am I going to find it difficult to register? I'd drive in Thursday night, but that's another $70 added to my hotel stay.

Ain't we terrible? Addicts all! Gotta have a "meet fix" every so often or we go off into delerium tremors (well, at least, I do ).

This will be my first "official show" so, I don't know all the "legalities" of it. I'm sure that there will be more "late comers" so, there shouldn't be any problems. That may be a question for Mr. Wasion, since he will be the only "official MCC" member.

Be safe on your trip. You have my cell phone number. Please call if you have any problems and we'll do what we can to get to you and help you out. (BTW, does Amber know that you've put "Teenage Heart Throb" in your "Member's Status" line, just DAYS before you'll be making a solo trip? )

Actually, she does.

I'm leaving EARLY tomorrow morning for AutoFest. Yesterday I changed the oil and got new insurance on the car. This morning I rotated the tires, cleaned the wheels while they were off and got my MI tag. I even paid the $5 for the fancy one because supposedly the extra money goes to road repairs. I tried to give 'em more, but the lady behind the counter wasn't amused.

Randy, I have your cell phone number and I'll call you while I'm on the road tomorrow. Since I have to spend the entire day in Indiana, I doubt I'll be speeding by more than 5mph, so the drive should take me quite awhile.

Woohoo! It took until the day before, but I'm really geeked about this now!

Mapquest says a little over 7.5 hours for my drive tomorrow. At around 450 miles, I shouldn't really need to stop for fuel, but I imagine I will anyway. I'll be driving south through Ohio (ugh) and then sorta meander along the KY, IN border.

So I should be there a little earlier than I thought. Tough to say, though. I don't plan on speeding any more than 5mph over. Hopefully I'll get there at or a little before the start at 3PM.

The car is filthy. I had other chores to do this week, like the oil change and the tire rotation. Those were supposed to be done over the weekend, leaving detailing time. Didn't happen.

So the SVX is COVERED in dirt and grime. And I plan on leaving before dark, so a wash is probably out of the question. Plus I don't have a car wash here I trust.

Maybe what I ought to do is bring some towels and see if I can find a coin-op car wash along the way...I'll bring a mitt to wash with...hmm...

I also have to vacuum...and clean the dash...and condition the leather...ergh...

Nick, there's a wash like the one you directed Eric, Seth and Myself to in Burlington, just down the road from where we'll be. 11.95 will get you a full service job (Wash, Vacuum, Dash cleaned). Perhaps it won't be "jam packed" with autofesters -- It was stacked today. I plan on washing mine in the morning after I take my son to school and before Bill arrives. Be careful, and enjoy the ride.

Wait for me!

I'm probably gonna need that wash, too.

I'll get off work around 10:30 a. Friday. Lunch with Sharon, and then Fest-o-rama!

I'll be bringing towels (er, rags) and some minor detailing stuff.

Steve

Steve, it's on First Ave, headed toward Northpark after you get off the Lloyd and before you get to Diamond -- on the Left.
