Sound File?

Has anyone ever recoreded the wonderful sound of their svx? I have a friend in atlanta who is interested in picking one up, but he wondered what they sound like. I exlained to him that they sound beautiful and thats the only way i could describe it

thanks guys

SVX will sound differently depending on what one did to the car. Since I have chopped off my resonator, it sounds a little more deeper than it used to be. I love the way it sounds -- apart from occasional rattle from the heat shield.

I posted a sound clip of my SVX with KC exhaust a long time back. It's in MOD mania, and I would think it could be found doing a search for "Sound Clip" since the tread was titled sound clip of KC exhaust. It's not the best, because wind noise gets loud but you can still hear it nicely...in fact, forget the search...I'll just re-post it...maybe it'll get somebody to post another one.

Mike, do you still have that video clip of you following me down the interstate in PA? That had some pretty good sound. BTW, do you still have that clip available? I lost it in a computer crash.

I posted a sound clip

SVX10,

Very nice sound clip. Did you tape the mircophone to the back bumper?

Other than the wind it wounded great.

Hheh, I won't be taking any recording's of mine any time soon. My resonator rattle is starting to sound more like a dying, disease sticken cow more than an exhaust.

yup

Yea...I just took my laptop on a ride with me. I had it sitting in the passenger's seat, a microphone cable running from my laptop, through the trunk (entered from back by the antenna when the trunk was open, ran the cable through, and had it coming out under where the licence plate is). Then, I just taped the cable to the bumper and had the microphone hanging about 3" from the exhaust tip. I wish I could get a recording of the whole car's sound, rather than just the exhaust, because the intake gives off a nice engine sound. Maybe in the future.

Thanks, Mike. I'll bookmark it this time. Interesting enough, if you hadn't taken this video, I'd never have known I was going that fast.

I am very careful about my speed, but once in awhile I notice I'm going way too fast.

Lately, since I started commuting in the GL, I've noticed I speed VERY rarely in the SVX. I feel bad doing 75mph. 90 makes me worry about the paint burning off the car.

I've found I can't KEEP from speeding in the SVX. A "comfortable" speed in the SVX is way more than the law allows. When 85 "feels" like 50, you can get in trouble real fast. I try to keep an eye on it though --- when I think about it.

I know what you mean.... I got a ticket last week... 88 in a 65... It really scared me into going slower. If you guys cant keep from going fast, I came up with a great solution to keep you from doing so...
