Bad TPS = 2nd-3rd gear flare???
Flying thru threads cause I got a code 34, found mention of a bad TPS (having some spikes and bad spots) would cause the transmission to flare between 2nd and 3rd gear.
I have not ever got a Code 31 (throttle position sensor or circuit) but I have had 2-3 flare in my car since always, and I have had 3 different tranys. This would make sense, but wondering if: 1. TPS can be faulty and not post a code? 2. If anyone else has ever tested there TPS just for fun and found it acting up? 3. Replaced their TPS because of a 2-3rd gear flare? 4. Does anybody experience the 2-3rd gear flare? See post in how to Documents: http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/files/How-To/14372.htm
