KONI Group Buy Opportunity

Still working out the details (should be done early January) but I am wondering how many of you would be interested in Koni struts? I have contacted a vendor (not Strano) who confirms that he has ordered a number of sets of the adjustable Sport struts for our cars. I asked about the possibility of a group buy discount and he was intrigued and willing to work with us. I don't need money or firm committment yet but would like to accurately represent to him how many sets he can expect to sell and will then negotiate the discount and update you all. Please respond to me here if you are interested.

I have also contacted another source who can then make these into a coilover combination for approximately $600. This opens up all kinds of opportunities for spring rates and adjustable lowering (within reason ). If there is enough interest in this option, I will approach them about a group buy rate as well. Again, respond here with you interest.

I have included a Koni diagram which shows what is involved in the installation of these struts inserts into our existing housing. You can find it in my locker or here.

Interested, but...

I don't know if I will be able to afford it. I can tell you as soon as the price gets a little more final. Sorry.

i love this mod.

i have had the koni inserts and ground control springs for over six months now and i love the way the car handles and drives. my car is two inches lower than stock. it really makes the car look aggressive. nice low scowl. take a look in my locker if you want to know how the conversion could make your car look. good luck with your group buy.

koni struts

Is their a way to replace shocks/strus etc. without performing surgery on the car? If the SVX ever becomes a collector's item putting the original equipment back in place may be an advantage.

george at this point in time......no.

i think there is a japanese coilover kit, but it is really expensive and i have no idea if it is even available or not. right now the gc/koni setup is the only way to go.

After surfing thru the Japanese SVX web sites, I located the maker of the coilover kit you refer to. I tracked down their NA office (in Canada) and spoke to a nice gentlemen who took down all my information and informed me he would contact me with any information he could find. I NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN!!!
I have sent two e-mails and left two messages w/o a reply. I think it's safe to assume this is a non-viable solution. This is what got me going on my quest above.

With me, we have 11 interested parties in the KONI group buy. I'll call the supplier today and see what the price will be. Again, approx. $600 for the set of 4 at their list price. I'll post when I know more.
