You have to have a "Clock Spring" harness (the harness from the steering wheel to the base of the column) for the column, but the connector from the base of the column to the radio is present in the US cars.
You also have to get a Radio that is set up for the remote controls...the US one is not.

And I got one of mine from Japan and one from Australia (off a JDM SVX)

Well Mike, I am trying to find if that movie is posted somewhere on the net. I am 200% sure it exists because I watched it before. It shows the evolution of the SVX design especially when Giugiaro took over that project and the rigorous tests that were done on it.

I will try to email Fuji Heavy Industries and Giugiaro Co asking about it.
(once I emailed VW asking about the MK1 and they sent me by DHL a whole package brochure of the details of the MK1

When I first got my SVX back in 2000, I emailed Subaru asking if they had any svx info they could send me. They sent me a copy of the Road and Track guide.
