Distracted driving, (remember the basics)

Wife called me yesterday and said that the car won't move and she was stuck in the middle of a busy highway. It took me several minutes to figure out what she was saying, because her phone was over modulating and all I heard was excited static.
I told her to turn off the blue tooth. Better, but still unable to understand. Next I told her to turn the radio down, AHH!! Communication!!
"The light turned green and the car went backwards when I hit the gas."
Did you hit anything? "No, but it wont go forwards."
I'm thinking about a busted transmission line, ears broke off the front trans pump, busted shifter cable, and the cops calling one of the GREEDY tow guys to 'fetch' her.
I called a 'friendly' tow company. Wife called the cops to tell them that a tow was rolling on it.
Friendly tow guy pulled up in front and started hooking up.
SAVED!!
I get off work and go pay the tow bill, then come home to check the car. Battery is dead from radio and 4 ways and lights on, etc, so I check the trans fluid. Full of pink, no stink. HMMM.
Put jumpers on it and it starts right up! Put it in reverse and it goes backwards, drive and it goes frontwards..
I take it for a 'burn' through the neighborhood till it was warm, then beat it like an evil stepchild for a while. FLAWLESS!!

The only thing I can think of is that it stalled, and she didn't notice cause the radio was cranked up and that 'locust' looking thing was in her ear!.
I have the anti-lock brakes disabled, so that light was on, and the check engine light is on because we have not 'cleared the codes' from last week when we put the engine back in and ran it without the accessories. Everything else is a guage and women NEVER look at anything but the gas one of those!
Well, I put a charge on the battery and she tried again today. SUCCESS!!
All she really had to do was put it in park and turn the key again!!

A day in the LIFE I live!!

And I thought I was the only one that had to deal with stuff like that.

To her credit, She always brings it back home with the same amount of body parts it left with and has been driving it for 7 years. My first ex-wife hit something every month!!

Also, this is the first time it has ever 'stalled' on her! (Fresh engine work, still working out a couple details) As soon as it got back, she jumped in it and I have not been able to 'catch up' with it since.
I was replacing the rear brake pads. She stood behind me with her purse in hand 'tapping her foot' till it hit the ground. GONE again!!
It was hit by a bus while parked. Front bumper cover ripped off. I had to wait till she got down with the flu to get it inside long enough to replace the bumper cover! (She gave me ONE day to get it put back together, painted and an oil change.)
Can we agree that she LOVES this car??

The engine stalled. She didn't notice, because she didn't turn the radio down and pull that 'locust' out of her ear!

She said that she had an 'I Love Lucy' moment! She knew what to do, but her mind went blank, so she did all the wrong stuff!
Then, even though she had been on hundreds of 'tow calls' with me in our truck, she didn't remember anything we did! Car was loaded. She was standing there till the drive said, "Get in, we are leaving".
