$21 spark plugs!!!????
I just called the parts store and the OE NGK stock #4014's are $20.99 a plug!! I went to the NGK web site http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/index2....000&country=US
and they also listed a stock#7092 as well. They are only $4.59 a plug. The 4014 is a Laser Platinum and the 7092 is a G-Power platinum. Is the Laser platinum that much better of a plug than the G-power platinum? |

If you get the right plug (the 4014) you will have another 100,000 miles to make up the difference in cost. From the description it seems the G-power only has platinum on the ground electrode, where the laser has platinum on the ground and center electrode.

You should be able to find the OEM plugs for about $10. They list in Canada for CAD$24.00 each but I got them for CAD$16.00.
Keep looking for a better deal. I quickly checked www.sparkplugs.com and the OEM plugs are $11.71

Well, they ARE a royal PITA to replace, but...
...I've had no problem at all with the regular Bosch Platinum plugs (@ $1.99 - rebate) which I change every 60K. They "read" normally, I have never experienced any kind of plug/ignition-related problem in almost 12 1/2 years and 120+K miles.
I have used the regular Champion Platinum plugs in other vehicles with very similiar success. The exception is a W126 Mercedes 420SEL V-8 which just seems to run and idle better with regular old Bosch copper core plugs: I'm told it has to do with the very design and nature of the entire ignition system. Cheers! p.s. Please remember to use the dielectric grease on the plug ends: it really helps!
