How would I tell what # my car is
My car is a 92 SVX .. is there any way to tell what # in the series of cars made for that year it is....
Just for curiousity is there a breakdown of SVX's made by year ? |

Just look at the last 5 digits of the VIN.
The SVX FAQ on http://svx-iw.com/ will have the breakdown of how many SVX's were sold every year.

Keep in mind that production numbers don't necessarily start at "0". For example the first production Baja had a VIN that ended in the 50's.....like 100058 or something like that. So a VIN that ends in 790 does not always mean that it was the 790th car off the line for that year.

I was going to say that too. The first legacy off the line at SIA also had a VIN ending with 58.

I wonder who has the lowest number SVX? Anyone have any low numbers for 92?

I looked into that once. I ran a whole bunch of 92 VINs through Subaru. I would just keep trying different numbers to see how low of a VIN I could find. I wrote the results down somewhere....I'll try to find them. Dave |
