Motion blur is horrible and it lags a bit. It's almost impossible to take pictures of anything moving or while moving, but if I see anything just sitting like the Lambo again, I'll go check it out just for you.

I don't think I am on your Facebook.

It's hard to get tired of Lambos when the only time you see them is on vacation in Naples.
I was pretty shocked to see one up here.

Re: AK auto diversity - sightings

You ever seen the tank on Big Lake Rd up north of Wasilla? That, along with the countless Unimogs I've seen up there, are the only AK worthy sightings I can recall. Whenever I see a rear drive sports car up there I wonder what they drive the other 11 months out of the year. Seriously, I think you've got the only Alaska rated sports car ever built. The rest can go back to Miami (or Dubai) where they belong.

Can't say I've ever seen a tank anywhere in AK and I've been up and down Big lake and all over the army and air force bases.
I could show ya about 15 different Humvees, but no tanks.

Re: AK auto diversity - sightings

I haven't been up that way in a while, but as a teen seeing that thing from the road was a major landmark on the way to the cabin. It was on the north side of the road between the Parks hwy, and N. Shore Rd. Heavy armor, tracks, and a hopefully disabled large caliber turret on top. The guy had a couple of monster trucks as well in his patch of cleared swamp, and at the time I thought he must be the coolest guy on earth. In retrospect he's probably just another militant AK gun nut (like my uncle), and should probably be avoided as such (like my uncle).

I've been considering starting a sighting thread of my own for cars on the PCH in Malibu from my morning commute. The other day I saw 2 Vectors running in tandem. They took me a while to identify as I've never seen one in person before. I followed them onto the freeway, but never had a good shot with the camera.

But hey, somebody called a Bentley way back in the thread and for sure it is a Rolls Royce, the one with the rear doors opening backwards.

Anywya, hooray for my first Alaskan Lambo sighting.
NOBODY can get tired of seing Lambo´s, you can get tired of seing VW´s but not Lamborghinis!!
I saw my first Lamborghini, a yellow one, when they were launched here in Paraguay in 1995, they showed the Diablo model in both their showroom and in the EXPO of technology and agricultural and industrial advances(the same EXPO where i saw my first SVX, the very same one i have now, in the Subaru stand).
A few months later i saw another Diablo, a blue or violet one, being raced in the streets of Asuncion, later i was told that the violet one was held in an hangar in the airport.Good place for a car that can fly if you press the throttle too much

Re: AK auto diversity - sightings

I've never seen a Lamborghini in the wild, oddly enough. Seen Diablo tail lights from a few blocks away, but that was it. There is a Lotus (One of the newer ones with the Toyota motor, can't think of the model) running around Corvallis. There's also a guy down the block from me who has a Chevy Colorado and a Dodge Caravan in his driveway, and a Rolls-Royce Corniche in the garage

It's way back Nik, in '05

Now that I see it you are actually the man spotted a "Bentley" and posted a pic, but the car is in reality a Rolls and probably costs double the price of the most expensive Bentley.
