Rufus,

Set your standards higher. Rather than Jif or Skippy; think

Wanted to chime in

I'm here. It doesn't seem like there are a lot of other Nor' Easters' here though. There have to be more that three of us. Come on everyone, don't be shy, join in the circle now. :-)

I'm here

Not too much to say locally though. I want to set up a Fall Tour this year, but I'm a gonna need some help. Nick isn't here (he set up last years). Maybe a Cape Cruise or a nice ride around the Quabbin.

Any suggestions....???

More of us.

I guess I qualify, being in Glenwood MD. There's also Ron Mummert (Tsutsuhund) in Ellicott City, MD and Olu Davis (SVXit) in Silver spring, MD. We also know there are a few lurking in the DC area (SVXtypeR, speak up)

Where do we draw the Northeast line?

Avoid Bell Subaru in Rahway NJ. I was going to this place in Freehold, King BMW, but they sold the subaru section to another dealer. I, again, am looking for a good dealership to work on my cars.

Depends on whether it's winter or summer. Ron/Tsu

Thumbs up Dealerships to get work done at in NJ

I use Wayne Subaru to work on my '96 Lsi

They are not too expensive and have always done right by me.

The most important thing is that they are experts

They sold more SVX's than any other dealership in NJ

The only problem is that they are very busy, you always have to leave your car there

Ask for Dean in service 973-835-4725

Good luck

PS- My in-laws live in Smoke Rise

Smoke Rise In-laws

I too live in Smoke Rise. There is one other SVX in the neighborhood. I called Wayne Subaru, but they quoted $1200 for the 60K service, versus $750 from Lohman in Parsippany. What work have you had done there??

Smokerise SVX

I had my rear bearings replaced @ $220

My doors were leaking - fixed it for $30

I have not had any other problems or needs.

What a coincidence that we both live in the same place and have the exact same car. I don't recall seeing yours around. I actually brought my '96 lsi green to Wayne @ the Smokerise gas station when I bought it to have him check it out.

Did you buy yours new? It has very low miles.
