Re: our car is on here?!

Fun to play with but I'm so picky I couldn't find a pair of rims I would want to buy and put on...

Re: our car is on here?!

how would 36mm offset work? would it effect the handling?

Re: our car is on here?!

offset is how much the rim centerline is offset from the hub face. Stock is +52mm IIRC. This site is clearly pedaling Nissan/Mitsu fitments that are not going to fit and drive any where near as nice as using the OEM offset.

If you want to get the right rims, I use a search for 2005 STi rims as it uses the same bolt pattern and offset. Also the sites like tirerack or wheeldude seem to limit it to widths/offsets that will fit in our fenderwells. Dunno if the same would be true if you searched for 2008+ STi aftermarket rims.

Oh and NEVER listen to stancenation people on wheel or tirefitment. FOR ANYTHING. Rarely listen to autoX STi owners, they can get a little insane pushing the very last mm of tirewidth which might not work for your SVX.

I tried Nissan 350Z wheels with a 38mm offset and they rubbed the fender edge (235 x 17 tires). I now have wheels with a 45mm offset and no problems.

I thought stock offset was +55mm?

My favorite was the DIP Laser D95. This car is of Italian design on the outside and Italian body styles scream for star shaped 5 spoke wheels.

Re: our car is on here?!

yeah i love these 5 spoked wheels but i guess the offset 36 will not work well with the svx, any other similar rims with a more natural offset for the svx?

It might be, Subaru seems to use a range offsets across the different cars and I sometimes have trouble keeping them straight.

These will work on your car with correct offset and hub bore. Try NC miata (2006+) or RX8 for a few more options that are close in offset, but don't have correct hub bore.

Sometime I want to try 2002+ explorer rims for fitment. Not too expensive used and most should be in good shape with the fat squishy tires protecting them from curbs and potholes.
